The Process Circuit
A blower draws moist air into the Honeycomb Matrix through the return air filter. Moisture is then extracted from the air and stored in the Honeycomb Matrix Wheel. The dry air is then discharged through the process outlet. The dry air is re-heated to the desired operation temperature and introduced into the drying hopper.
The Comet SAN Honeycomb Matrix Dryer Difference
Desiccant dryers are OLD technology. They are difficult to clean and service, they require several types of regular spare parts, the desiccant deteriorates, and there are regular fluctuations in temperature and dewpoint. All of these hassles are costly and time consuming. Only Comet's Honeycomb Matrix Dryer offers easy cleaning with minimal spare parts required. In independent accelerated wear experiments, the Matrix Wheel lasts a projected 10 - 15 years. If it ever gets contaminated, it can be cleaned with soapy water and re-used again without any change in performance. The constant rotation of the Matrix Wheel guarantees there will never be a fluctuation in temperature or dewpoint and the continuous process guarantees consistent processing results.
The SAN system is used throughout the world for Optical Disc, Medical, Lens, LCD Screen and many other advanced applications. The SAN system employs a HEPA filter in the process air circuit which removes the smallest particles and contaminents. This ultra-clean system is also completely polished with passivated welds and heaters. The SAN dryers dehumidify for the worlds most advanced products.
